Mr Junart Kim Nieva
Attained Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education major in English with units on Filipino courses, at the College of Education, University of Santo Tomas, where he also served as Associate Editor of the Education Journal (ISSN 0015-3021). He taught Filipino and Home Economics in a parochial school, and was mentor of the Journalism Club.
At present he is pursuing entrepreneurship, while involved in various charitable works. He is a freelance writer, but mainly writes for One Philippines News magazine.
His interests include literature, nutrition, theology, complementary therapy and philanthropy. He is keen in the promotion of Philippine culture and heritage whilst abroad. Inspired by Rizalian and Thomism philosophies, his advocacies are equality and diversity, youth empowerment, health and wellness, interfaith, peace, nature protection and preservation, and anti-racism. Aside from travelling which he is so passionate about, he likes to help and inspire people to dream big and achieve their goals in life, overcoming obstacles and rejoicing in victory, making a massive difference in their lives.
Mr. Araial Ilustre
He is a reliable, self-confident, determined and responsible person. He believes that every person is unique and his individual rights to be preserved. He is a person who is always aware of what is going on in the community. He is an experienced member of different Not for Profit organisations in the UK and in the Philippines and actively involved with the campaigns of an anti- corruption organization and fighting against discrimination of Filipino workers in the UK. He attained Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History. He was employed as a university instructor from the university he graduated from, taught political science and social science subjects. In addition, he has achieved his MSc in International Political Communication Advocacy and Campaigning in Kingston University, London.
He is a fundraising practitioner with strong ability to develop a result proofed grant proposals with over 4 years of experience. He is open minded, with track record of consistently achieving targets for charities, especially in the healthcare, religious and welfare sectors. Highly capable of introducing innovative ideas in re-shaping fundraising strategies and highly versed in public relations with a flair in dealing with people from all walks of life.
Miss Rusell Irene L. Lagunsad graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Filipino at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela in 2013 as a Dean’s lister and a Culture and the Arts awardee. In 2018, she finished Master of Arts in Filipino at Polytechnic University of the Philippines. At present, she is taking up Doctor of Philosophy in Philippine Studies at the University of the Philippines- Diliman. She has also been invited to be a moderator of conferences, lecturer, speaker and trainer in seminars and workshops for students and teachers, which aim to spread awareness on our ancient writing system, culture, society, language and on the use of e- learning in educational practices.
She presented research papers about culture, society and Philippine language in different conferences and bagged a number of awards like Outstanding Researcher of the Year and Excellence Award in Research. At present, she is a teacher of Filipino subject at the Junior High School and a volunteer teacher at different non-government organisations. She also passionately campaigns literacy among young Filipinos who had no access to education and those who were poorly treated in the community. Because of these, as a teacher, she was awarded with several recognition in the country and even abroad like Guro Excellence Award, Guro Demofest Champion, and Outstanding Foundational Stage Teacher in Bangkok, Thailand.
